Beyond the Colosseum and off the beaten track

For some visitors to Rome, the main destinations revolve around the Colosseum, the Forum and St. Peter's, but the range of other possibilities is immense. The summaries of the Walking Tours indicate that each one has a particular theme, and other objectives will be to appreciate some sense of historical perspective and to enjoy a flavour of contemporary Rome.

Universally familiar landmarks are included, but there are also opportunities to become acquainted with less publicised aspects such as Roman Walls and Aqueducts, and to follow specific themes such as the Borgia, Raphael, Michelangelo and Garibaldi trails.

A selection of other tours includes The Appian Way, Palaces and Piazzas, Bramante and Caravaggio, Bernini and Borromini, The Borghese Gardens, Bridges of the Tiber, The Vatican Walls, The Borgo, Testaccio and Garbatella. The most recent tour has been inspired by Dan Brown.
